Overview

Cost discussions and cost management for Kubernetes can be difficult to answer because of the disposable and replaceable compute resources constantly coming and going, on a range of types of infrastructure.

At the end of the month, users just get a billing line item from their cloud provider. But, this does not provide any context about the workloads being orchestrated and does not align the cost to business context like cost per tenant/namespace etc. Cost Management solutions focused on Kubernetes have been developed to address this gap.
