Monitor

Especially in a self service driven environment, administrators may wish to monitor how their users are using their tenants. Rafay provides built in facilities for administrators to track and monitor usage.

By User/Team

To understand how a given user/team is using their Ray as Service tenants, as an administrator with an Org Admin role,

  • Click on Dashboards
  • Click on Environment Manager
  • Click on Project
  • Select name of the user's project

In the example below, we can see that there is one active "Ray as Service" tenant operational in this project. The charts also display how long the tenant has been operational and which user(s) are using it.

By Project

Note

This approach assumes that every user/team is assigned a dedicated project to ensure an isolated experience on a multi tenant environment.

Clicking on the ellipsis on the right of Environments will open a detailed table where the admin can select from various filters. In the example below, the admin has opted to look at details of the tenant in the "ray as service" project.

By Project Detail

The admin can now see when this tenant was created and also determine which version it is based on. This allows administrators to quickly determine how many tenants are running the latest version and how many are based on a legacy, outdated version.
