Providers
Overview¶
A Provider represents the source or organization from which a GenAI model originates. Examples include Llama (Meta), Qwen, NVIDIA, Google, and custom enterprise providers.
Providers act as metadata entities used to categorize and group models. They ensure models are consistently organized, filterable, and clearly identifiable across the Operations Console.
Each model must be associated with a provider so it is correctly classified and managed throughout the GenAI workflow.
Why Providers Are Needed¶
Providers are used to:
- Categorize models during onboarding
- Group models originating from different organizations
- Maintain separation between different model families
- Display provider logos and metadata in model cards
A provider must exist before creating any models.
Accessing Providers¶
Navigate to Operations Console → GenAI → Providers.
This page displays all configured providers along with their name, description, creation timestamp, and available actions.
Create Provider¶
- Navigate to Operations Console → GenAI → Providers
- Select New Provider
- Enter the provider details:
- General Information
- Name — Provider name (for example, llama, meta, qwen, nvidia)
- Description — Optional metadata describing the provider
- Links & Branding
- Provider Website — Optional link to the official provider site
- Icon URL / Upload Icon — Upload or reference a logo to visually represent the provider
- Select Save Changes
After saving, the provider appears in the Providers list and becomes available for selection during model creation.
