End users (e.g. data scientists and ML researchers) can leverage a self service workflow to request their Ray as a Service tenant. Let us review the typical process that organizations implement for their users.

The creation/launch of the Ray as Service tenant in the user's assigned project is typically a one-time task for the user. Once the user logs into their project with the Environment Template User role, they need to launch the template. In approximately 5-10 minutes, an isolated Ray as Service tenant is created on the Host cluster for the user. The diagram below describes the sequence of steps that are automatically performed to set this up.

Note

Administrators can also optionally perform the creation of the Ray as Service tenant on behalf of their users. This will require them to extend the provided automation.

Once the tenant is successfully created, the user is presented with details about their Ray Endpoint URL and Access Credentials. The URL is also where the user can securely access the Ray Dashboard via a web browser.
